Moses reminded Israel, just before they entered the Land of Canaan, that seven nations already inhabited the land, but the Lord would bring Israel into the land anyway,
“When the LORD your God brings you into the land which you go to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you” (Deuteronomy 7.1).
Not only did Israel face seven nations, but those nations were greater and mightier than Israel.
The powers that stood against Israel were complete, except that those nations did not walk with God, and so He would remove them easily from before Israel.
