Continuing from our last post that the Day of Atonement took place during the seventh month, the Lord then told Israel,
“You shall present a burnt offering to the LORD as a sweet aroma: one young bull, one ram, and seven lambs in their first year. Be sure they are without blemish” (Numbers 29.8).
On that special day, they needed to offer seven unblemished lambs in their first year, representing that special Lamb of God who would come, after centuries of Day of Atonement observances, to take away the sins of Israel and of the world forever.
