Numbers 28.19, 21 – Seven lambs for the seven days of the Feast of Unleavened Bread

Concerning the lambs offered during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Lord said to Israel,

“And you shall present an offering made by fire as a burnt offering to the LORD: two young bulls, one ram, and seven lambs in their first year. Be sure they are without blemish…you shall offer one-tenth of an ephah for each of the seven lambs” (Numbers 28.19, 21).

They were to offer seven lambs everyday for seven days, totaling 49 lambs during the feast.

Forty-nine, by the way, equals the number of Bible books as the Lord originally gave the Scriptures. The Old Testament was 22 books, the number of the Hebrew alphabet, but we have divided them up into 39.

Take the original 22 books, plus the 27 New Testament Books, and that gives 49 Books, which is the Bread of Life for the soul, and the Scriptures are free of man’s denominational doctrines, so that the Bible is the unleavened bread that the God of heaven gives to us!
