For the fourth time, the Lord warned Israel that if they walked contrary to Him,

“then I also will walk contrary to you in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins” (Leviticus 26.28). 

Yet, when we read the Bible and see how God deals with other nations as well, we discover that He also punishes the rest of the nations for walking contrary to Him.

Many nations today work overtime to walk contrary to the Lord and against the revelation of His will in the written word of God.

May they all learn from ancient Israel that persistent rebellion against the Lord of heaven and earth brings huge consequences.
