First Kings 20.15 | Seven Thousand

The wicked king Ahab of Israel prepared his army to fight the Syrians after a prophet informed him that he would defeat them, and that he would begin the attack. Then the Bible says:

Then he mustered the young leaders of the provinces, and there were two hundred and thirty-two; and after them he mustered all the people, all the children of Israel—seven thousand.

– 1 Kings 20.15

This seems like an incidental reference to seven, but then again, the Lord had guaranteed the victory and Ahab just happen to have 7,000 warriors.
