The Lord told Moses to number all the firstborn males from a month old and above, and this was the total,
“And all the firstborn males, according to the number of names from a month old and above, of those who were numbered of them, were twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three” (Numbers 3.43).
Not unexpectedly, we have another incidental use of the number seven in a Bible Book about numbers.
While we might expect this very book to reveal spiritual meanings for the number seven, yet, this book more than anything simply provides a census.
